# Labyrinth Restaurant: a bilingual site built around menu and booking

**Summary:** Labyrinth is an Italian restaurant in Balingen-Rosswangen serving pizza, pasta, salads and antipasti. Its website is bilingual, German and English, and built around the two things guests come for: a menu that reads properly on a phone, with prices and allergen codes, and a reservation page offering WhatsApp, Google, phone and email.

## At a glance

- **The menu as a web page.** Pizza, pasta, salads and drinks with prices and allergen codes, readable on any phone and by search engines. No PDF to download.
- **Four ways to book.** WhatsApp with a pre-filled message, Reserve with Google, phone and email, all on one reservation page.
- **German and English.** Every page in both languages, switchable from the header, for local guests and visitors alike.
- **Local search basics.** Address, phone and opening hours in the footer of every page, with a direct link to directions on Google Maps.

## The brief

A restaurant website has one job: get a hungry person from a search to a table.
For Labyrinth that meant three pages doing the work (home, menu and
reservations) with nothing in the way.

## What the site does

The **home page** sets the mood with a photo of the dining room and goes
straight to two buttons: reserve a table, or see the menu.

The **menu** is a proper web page. Pizzas, pastas, salads and drinks are listed
with prices, extra toppings and allergen and additive codes, with a key at the
bottom. When a dish or price changes, it is a quick text edit, not a new PDF.

The **reservation page** accepts bookings the way guests in a small town
actually make them. WhatsApp opens with a pre-filled message, Reserve with
Google takes the booking inside Google, and phone and email are there for
everyone else.

Every page carries the address, phone number, opening hours and a link to
directions in the footer, and the whole site is available in German and English.

## Built to stay fast

The site is a modern static build served from a global edge network, so it loads
quickly even on a weak mobile connection, which is how most guests look at a
restaurant site. The Impressum, privacy policy and terms are linked from every
page.
