Short answer

Rubra Digital delivers LLM and RAG consulting to organisations in Belgium, working across Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and remotely. Engagements are designed around EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2. EU regions in Belgium or the Netherlands.

What is different about delivering in Belgium

Brussels concentrates EU institutions, trade associations and law firms whose core asset is a very large corpus of regulatory text, which is close to the ideal use case for retrieval. Nearly every system here has to work in Dutch and French simultaneously, and getting cross-language retrieval right (a French query returning the relevant Dutch document) is usually the hardest requirement in the brief.

How that changes my build

I treat cross-lingual retrieval as a first-class requirement in Belgium and evaluate it explicitly rather than assuming the embedding model handles it.

Frameworks I design against

  • GDPR
  • NIS2
  • EU institutional procurement rules

AI consulting in Belgium: FAQ

Do you work with clients in Belgium?

Yes. I deliver remotely across CET/CEST with on-site workshops in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent for discovery, architecture review and handover, which are the points where being in the room helps. My working language is English, and I work with source material in Dutch and French and German.

Which regulations shape AI projects in Belgium?

The frameworks that most often change how I design a system here are EU AI Act, GDPR, NIS2, EU institutional procurement rules. The primary data protection regulator is Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit. I treat cross-lingual retrieval as a first-class requirement in Belgium and evaluate it explicitly rather than assuming the embedding model handles it.

Can our data stay in Belgium?

EU regions in Belgium or the Netherlands. Where a client needs inference to stay inside the jurisdiction, that gets designed in from the start rather than retrofitted, including fully on-premise deployment with open-weight models where no external inference is permitted.

What does an AI consulting engagement cost in Belgium?

Discovery engagements start at €22,000 and production builds typically run from €55,000 to €180,000 depending on scope. I invoice in EUR and quote fixed price for defined scopes, with the assumptions written down before you commit.
