Short answer
Rubra Digital delivers LLM and RAG consulting to organisations in Germany, working across Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and remotely. Engagements are designed around EU AI Act, GDPR / BDSG, NIS2. EU regions in Frankfurt or Berlin, with model inference kept inside the EU.
What is different about delivering in Germany
Germany is the most process-intensive AI market in Europe, and that is usually a feature rather than an obstacle. Procurement expects written documentation of data flows before a pilot starts, and any system touching employee data normally needs a works council (Betriebsrat) agreement, which is negotiated in parallel with the build rather than after it. Mittelstand manufacturers and BaFin-regulated financial firms are the two segments where retrieval over internal documentation pays back fastest.
How that changes my build
I plan for a works council review from day one: that means logging what the model sees, keeping a human decision point on anything performance-related, and being able to show exactly which documents produced a given answer.

AI consulting in Germany: FAQ
Do you work with clients in Germany?
Yes. I deliver remotely across CET/CEST with on-site workshops in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt for discovery, architecture review and handover, which are the points where being in the room helps. My working language is English, and I work with source material in German.
Which regulations shape AI projects in Germany?
The frameworks that most often change how I design a system here are EU AI Act, GDPR / BDSG, NIS2, DORA, BaFin MaRisk / BAIT. The primary data protection regulator is BfDI and the sixteen state data protection authorities. I plan for a works council review from day one: that means logging what the model sees, keeping a human decision point on anything performance-related, and being able to show exactly which documents produced a given answer.
Can our data stay in Germany?
EU regions in Frankfurt or Berlin, with model inference kept inside the EU. Where a client needs inference to stay inside the jurisdiction, that gets designed in from the start rather than retrofitted, including fully on-premise deployment with open-weight models where no external inference is permitted.
What does an AI consulting engagement cost in Germany?
Discovery engagements start at €22,000 and production builds typically run from €55,000 to €180,000 depending on scope. I invoice in EUR and quote fixed price for defined scopes, with the assumptions written down before you commit.

Tell me what you are trying to build. I will tell you honestly whether it is viable, roughly what it costs, and whether Rubra Digital is the right partner for it.
