Martibela: an online shop for a furniture and mattress retailer

The brief

Furniture and mattresses are a mixed online purchase. Some customers buy straight from the product page; many more browse online, compare a few models and then visit a store to sit on the sofa or lie on the mattress. The shop needed to serve both, and reflect two physical stores in Agualva-Cacém.

What the shop does

The catalogue follows the store: mattresses, headboards, bed bases, wardrobes, double and children’s bedrooms, sofas, sideboards and display cabinets, with a popular products section on the home page and a link to the full yearly catalogue.

The home page introduces both stores with addresses and phone numbers, so the website works as a route into the shop as much as a checkout.

Delivery and collection are spelled out where customers decide: pick up in store, free delivery and installation in the Lisbon district for orders over €250, and delivery dates agreed with the customer.

The footer carries what Portuguese consumers and the law expect: store information, payment methods, privacy policy, contact, and the link to the electronic complaints book.
